Amanda Sheu, BA
Amanda received her B.A. in Cognitive Science, with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience, and a minor in Disability Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Her passion for serving diverse communities and expanding access to culturally-sensitive mental health services has led her to join SPEAK as their Youth Coordinator. She is thrilled to support the next generation of mental health advocates through the Young Visionaries in Wellness & Leadership Program.
She is also the Lab Manager for Montefiore Medical Group’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration Program, where she oversees a team of student interns, supports early intervention and integrated behavioral health practices, and collaborates on various research initiatives. Her extended interests include the impact of early life adversities, socioeconomic factors, and family systems on children’s mental health and socioemotional development.
