Speak Out: Research

The research on Asian American mental health is aggregated and inadequate in capturing the needs of the Asian American community. That is, if they are included in the research at all. These data, a poor reflection of the actual needs of the community, impact local, state, and federal programs, policies, and allocation of resources.

S.P.E.A.K. participates in culturally-sensitive, disaggregated research for the Asian American community. We also advocate for inclusion of Asian Americans in policy, as well as adequate resource allocation for population mental health.
